Anna Friel denies co-star affair

Anna Friel has (finally) spoken out to deny rumours of an affair with co-star Joseph Cross.

Stories began appearing in December after the 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' colleagues were seen embracing over dinner at The Wolseley, followed by angry exchanges on the doorstep of her Notting Hill home between Anna and her partner David Thewlis, who is 13 years her senior.

Anna told InStyle: "Joseph's a person I'm very close to. I worked with him every day for six months - he's so dear to me. He's my wonderful friend and co-star. He gave me a kiss and was, like, 'Hello, darling' and they made a big story about it. I'm very tactile. They always manipulate things - they once took a picture of me with my brother and ran this story about 'Anna Friel’s mystery man'." Hmmm...... I'm not sure that anyone's entirely convinced, dear.
