Jade Goody is reportedly "thrilled" today, after Justice Secretary Jack Straw overturned a decision that would have kept her apart from Jack Tweed on their wedding night.

As Johnny Ikon wrote yesterday, Jack was set to leave his wedding in the afternoon to make it back to his mother's Essex home in time for his 7pm curfew. He would have missed his first dance, dinner and night with his dying bride Jade, who has just weeks to live as she loses her battle against cervical cancer.

In a surprising move, Jack Straw decided to get involved and give the groom permission to stay at the reception venue until 3pm the following afternoon. He said: "It is crucial that offenders are treated equally within the rules regardless of the publicity surrounding their case but I was satisfied that it was reasonable to allow this."

Responding for Jade, her publicist Max Clifford said: "It will be the dream finish to her dream day, and it makes so much difference. Our heartfelt thanks from Jade and from Jack for allowing him to stay the evening in these very special circumstances."

Thank God that common sense prevailed in the end!! They deserve one perfect day, after all.
