Natasha Richardson confirmed dead

The family of Natasha Richardson have confirmed that she was taken off life support and died earlier this evening in a statement released to the press just a couple of minutes ago.

A family spokesman said: "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

This really is beyond sad, and the shock must be so traumatic. Best wishes for Liam and his adolescent sons, and the extended Redgrave family, including Vanessa and Joely. RIP.
