Desperate-for-work actress Lindsay Lohan has run out of money and living off Samantha Ronson after ceaseless shopping sprees, according to a report in the New York Daily News.

A source tells the publication that LiLo is living on a combination of credit, nightclub appearance fees and handouts from SaMANtha, and it's a constant source of friction between the couple. The insider says: "Lindsay is spending like crazy! She’s living on credit right now. She has no cash. The problem is, the money being spent is mostly Sam’s because Lindsay doesn’t have any of her own at the moment; she’s really taken on the 'man' role."

Another pal says: "Lindsay’s money situation has never really been great, but it’s only gotten worse over the last month or two. For every dollar she's making, she's spending double."
