Hugh Jackman has been announced as the host of 2009's Academy Awards.

When the Oscars host came to London for the Australia premiere this week, he was almost as demanding as co-star Nicole Kidman, requiring a team of chefs to create him carb-free treats to help him stay in shape for the next X-Men movie. Staff at the Odeon in Leicester Square found him "diva-like".

Let's hope he recreates this video of a 2004 performance with Sarah Jessica Parker from the Tony's when he hosts the Oscars, because it's hysterical! And he wonders why he struggles with gay rumours....
