The brand new star of Doctor Who, Matt Smith, has started filming the new series.

Shooting on a beach in South Wales, he was joined by assistant Karen Gillan. Who's excited to see Matt taking on the role???? Don't hold your breath, he won't be on-screen until 2010.

Expect great acting. Johnny Ikon saw him in the West End last year: show-stealer!!
