Cheryl Cole has spoken out about the battle between 'X Factor' winner Joe McElderry and Rage Against The Machine for the Christmas number 1. The victorious reality judge argues:
"I would be devastated to see Joe lose out to possibly the best thing that could happen to him in his life. Every aspiring popstar dreams of a number one record. It is a beautiful song. He put his heart and soul into every single week of The X Factor and I cannot bare to see him lose out to a mean campaign that has nothing to do with his efforts.
If that song, or should I say campaign, by an American group is our Christmas number one, I'll be gutted for him and our charts."
I've left the errors in her statement as they were sent to me - she really did write lose out "to" instead of on, and she can't "bare" something as opposed to bear. Two obvious things are crying out to me from this statement - 1. Cheryl Cole is thick. 2. She needs new people LOL!
Oh, and that's a nice slice of xenophobia at the end there, Cheryl - damn those Americans!!!!
