Despite the enormous pressure his marriage is under in the wake of revelations he's been sending sexually-explicit text messages to half a dozen girls, Vernon Kay has decided to go ahead with his Radio 1 show on Saturday morning. He will go out on-air from 10am as usual.
His wife Tess Daly is said to be totally devastated after discovering the extent of his cyber-philandering, telling friends she "doesn't trust" him anymore. Initially, the BBC appeared to indicate that Vernon would not appear this Saturday. His show features a text-in service for listeners to send in requests and messages, and there's a fear this could embarrass Vernon.
A spokesman confirmed on Thursday night that it's "business as usual", and I'm glad - I do hope that Vernon's listeners text and make him look a fool. It won't be as bad as Tess feels!!
