Glamour, quirky design and a lack of pretension define The Long Bar

Review

Where is it?

Enter the Sanderson Hotel, checking the billowing white drapes and odd design pieces (lip-shaped sofas, anyone?) and head right into The Long Bar. The hotel is closest to Goodge Street tube station.

What's it like?

Tall stools with eyes in the back of them, big white spaces, an outdoor courtyard and an 80-foot long bar make this place pretty damn attractive to spend time in. The door policy is refreshingly egalitarian, anyone can come in for a drink at The Long Bar, which is pretty unusual for a destination so glamorous. Go for a classic Sanderson Martini, but expect to pay through the nose for drinks here - cocktails are £10-15. Lots of hotel residents can be spotted here too, who have recently included Melanie B, Paris Hilton and John Legend.

Why does Johnny Ikon love it?

I love the cocktails, and although most people are dying to sit on a courtyard table, I like sitting on the tall stools at the bar to see everyone coming and going!
