Where is it?
Situated on Mill Street, Maddox is easily reached from Oxford Circus, Bond Street or Piccadilly Circus tube stations.
What's it like?
Top designer Sammy Chams has created a minimalist space decorated with deep reds and mint greens, with plenty of seating and dominant chandaliers. The stand-out piece of his interior is a stunning glass-encased DJ booth at the top of the staircase. Fred Moss (who has had a stake in every club at some point it seems, including Mo*vida, Aura and Chinawhite) has pulled in some top names since opening including P Diddy and Keira Knightley, though unfortunately this has now given away somewhat to reality TV liggers and Eurotrash. Still, the music's cool and the cocktails are decent, and there's even an Italian restaurant.
Why does Johnny Ikon love it?
There's only thing that excites any passion in me about Maddox - that great decor. Worth the trip alone.
