The Caribbean comes to Chelsea

Review

Where is it?

Located on Sloane Square, it's moments from the tube station at the top of Kings Road.

What's it like?

Named after the Caribbean island that Sir Hans Sloane brought chocolate back from (St. Kitts), the venue is infused with island party spirit. Decor-wise, it's a bit derivative of many other venues with cubic lightbox tables, booths and a disco light display, thought the Poinciana flower motif featured throughout the club is at least unique. It appears as it's the national flower of St. Kitts. The crowd is mostly Sloanes and trustafarians, unsurprising given that the venue was opened by three former public school boys. The small capacity (180) helps keep it friendly, as do the unusual drinks choices - the chocolate and rum spiked 'Hans Sloane' cocktail is unmissable.

Why does Johnny Ikon love it?

Kitts stands out from other London clubs with its Caribbean lilt, even if it is a bit of a gimmick.
